Bumrungrad International Hospital

A team from Wangkhei Eye Hospital recently visited Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok, one of the world’s leading multi-specialty hospitals, to gain first-hand experience of how top-tier healthcare institutions operate on the global stage.

The objective of the visit was to understand international standards in patient care, hospital administration, digital health integration, and clinical excellence. From streamlined patient flow systems to compassionate service delivery and world-class infrastructure, our team observed the finest practices in hospital management and care protocols.

This learning experience has greatly inspired us to implement new ideas and elevate our own systems to provide even more efficient, ethical, and patient-centered care back home in Manipur.

We are committed to continuous learning and growth—because our patients deserve nothing less than the best.

🌟 Celebration of Important Days

At Wangkhei Eye Hospital, we believe in honoring the spirit of unity, service, and humanity by celebrating various important days throughout the year. These events not only uplift the morale of our team but also strengthen our shared values of respect, compassion, and excellence.

  • Doctor’s Day is observed with heartfelt gratitude for our dedicated doctors, who work tirelessly to heal and serve. The hospital organizes a small ceremony with messages of appreciation, cakes, and tokens of recognition to honor their invaluable contributions.

  • Nurses Day is celebrated with equal warmth and admiration. Our nurses are the backbone of patient care, and this day serves as a reminder of their tireless commitment. Students and colleagues express their appreciation through speeches, cultural performances, and gifts.

  • On Labour Day, we recognize and thank the supporting staff—cleaners, security personnel, drivers, and helpers—who ensure the smooth functioning of the hospital every single day. Their hard work is honored with a special gathering, refreshments, and words of appreciation from the management.

  • Mother’s Day is celebrated to honor the love and sacrifice of mothers. Staff share their stories, and small tokens of love are gifted to the mothers working among us. Patients visiting the hospital also receive warm wishes to celebrate the occasion.

  • Independence Day and Republic Day are observed with patriotic fervor. The Indian national flag is hoisted, followed by the singing of the national anthem, speeches, and a short cultural program by staff and students to celebrate the spirit of freedom and nation-building.

  • In addition, other significant days such as World Sight Day, World Glaucoma Week, Children’s Day, Environmental Day, and Christmas are also celebrated with great enthusiasm. These observances often include awareness campaigns, patient interactions, fun activities, and outreach programs aimed at engaging both our staff and the community.

🌱 Participation in Climate Change Awareness Program for a Greener Tomorrow

Wangkhei Eye Hospital actively participated in the Climate Change Awareness Program, including a Cycle Rally and Tree Plantation Drive, organized by the AHPI II Manipur Chapter. The event was aimed at promoting environmental consciousness and encouraging sustainable living practices for a healthier planet and future generations. Our team enthusiastically joined the cycle rally, spreading messages about reducing carbon footprints and embracing eco-friendly lifestyles. The plantation program saw our staff contribute by planting saplings, symbolizing our commitment to a greener earth. Through such initiatives, Wangkhei Eye Hospital proudly stands in support of environmental responsibility and community-driven efforts to combat climate change.

🌸 Ningol Chakkouba Celebration

Wangkhei Eye Hospital joyfully celebrated Ningol Chakkouba, one of the most cherished and beautiful traditions of Manipur that honors and strengthens the bond between brothers and sisters, and more broadly, among family members. Reflecting the spirit of this festival, our Director, Dr. Sarungbam Bobby, warmly reunited all the female staff of the hospital and hosted a grand feast in their honor. The celebration was filled with warmth, laughter, and a deep sense of togetherness. Traditional dishes were served, and each female staff member received special gifts as a token of appreciation and love. The event beautifully reflected the values of respect, unity, and cultural pride, making it a memorable occasion for the entire Wangkhei Eye Hospital family.

👗 Fashion Show Extravaganza

In a vibrant and joyful celebration of creativity, confidence, and inclusivity, Wangkhei Eye Hospital organized a unique Fashion Show featuring enthusiastic performances by both male and female staff members. The event was a refreshing break from routine and gave everyone a chance to showcase their personal style, talent, and teamwork on the runway. The highlight of the event was the presence of the renowned personality Ms. Jenny, who graced the occasion as the guest judge. Her warm presence and fair judgment added charm and inspiration to the show. As a mark of gratitude and respect, the hospital presented her with a special token of appreciation.
